13/06/2026 AIHL Adelaide Adrenaline v Canberra Brave 0-5

Selected photos from the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) game between the Adelaide Adrenaline and the Canberra Brave (formerly CBR Brave) played on 13/06/2026 at the Ice Arena, Adelaide, South Australia.  The Adrenaline were now without Russian import Viacheslav “Slava” Sarkisyants as he had left for personal reasons, but they had acquired the services of import Kolby Johnson from Perth Thunder and import Tucker Scantlebury and the very recent addition of returning import Coy Prevost.  They would however be without the services of goaltender Cale Dolan for the weekend, so Jeremy Friederich stepped up to the plate, with Riley Knapp (recent spare goaltender for the Sydney Bears) as the reserve.  In goals for the Brave was the huge Joel Hasselman, who would be hard to get by!  Going into the game the Brave were about middle of the pack and the Adrenaline bottom on the ladder, but they had a raucous sellout crowd to help them along.

The 1st period was even with only a high-stick penalty going to Adrenaline’s Dominik Trnka at 14:53, but his penalty kill unit saw off the penalty.  It was until less than 5mins remaining that the first goal of the game was scored.  Brave’s Jacob Carey scored from Kai Miettinen assist with the other assist from Juston Maylan.  Only 30secs later Miettinen would add another with the assists coming from Carey and Maylan.  Shots on goal for the period: Brave 14, Adrenaline 6.

In the 2nd period an interference penalty to Tucker Scantlebury gave the Brave all they needed and with the man advantage Peter Bates posted their 3rd goal (assists Casey Kubara, 6ft 6in Bray Crowder).  Bates would score his 2nd goal of the game late in the period to give the Brave a massive lead with the Adrenaline unable to find a way past goaltender Hasselman.  With 42 secs remaining in the period 300gamer Cameron Todd scored the Brave’s 5th goal (assist Bayley Kubara).  Shots on goal for the period: Brave 14, Adrenaline 8.

There would be no change to the scoreline despite the Brave’s Jacob Carey heading to the penalty box on 2 occasions.  Shots on goal for the period were even at 7 a piece.
