30/08/2025 – IHSA Winter League B Grade – Tigers v Blackhawks 2-6

Selected photos from the Ice Hockey South Australia (IHSA) B Grade game between traditional rivals Tigers and Blackhawks (sitting on top of the ladder) playing on 30/08/2025 at the Ice Arena, Adelaide, South Australia.  Tigers Nathan Price would open the scoring at 13:54 (assist Ian McBride), but the Blackhawks would strike back a short time later at 12:52 with Davis Irvin-Speck scoring the equaliser (assists Sam Stouppos and Luke John).  Nick Bowe would score a go-ahead goal for the Blackhawks at 9:41 (Davis Irvin-Speck).  Shots on goal for the period: Tigers 8, Blackhawks 6.

Second period and Blackhawks Irvin-Speck would score his second goal of the game at 10:48 (assists Baxter Prosser and James Manna).  Tigers Joshua Letherby would peg one back at 8:10 (assists Aaron Mitchell and Michael Pilia’e-Smith).  A minute and a half later Blackhawks Nathaniel Baird would restore the 2 goal margin (assist Irvin-Speck).  Despite this the Tigers were posting a lot of shots on Blackhawks goaltender Ollie Arbon.  Shots on goal for the period: Tigers, Blackhawks 2.

The 3rd period saw Baxter Prosser, who had been well held up to then, score a goal for the Blackhawks (Nick Bowe).  With Prosser now firing, Tigers goaltender Paul Kluske got frustrated with him in the goal crease area and shoved him out of the way with Prosser hitting the deck hard.  This caused a fracas and the officials had their work cut out for them to separate the players.  Resultant penalties went to Kluske for the initial roughing, as well as an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and Blackhawks Nick Bowe a roughing penalty also.  Late in the period with a little over a minute remaining Blackhawks Prosser would add another in the dominant win for the Blackhawks.  Shots on goal for the period: Tigers 9, Blackhawks 4 (28 to 12, but a scoreline very much in favour of the Blackhawks).
