2024 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) is about to commence and what a way for the Adelaide Adrenaline to warm up.  Adelaide Adrenaline took on the Adrenaline Alumni (former players) in Exhibition Game on 6/04/2024 at the Ice Arena, Adelaide, South Australia.  The Adrenaline had a few imports on hand, including Josh Adkins who played previously for the Newcastle Northstars in the AIHL, long time Avalanche and Adrenaline coach John Botterill was back on the bench.  The Alumni held the current Adrenaline players for a fair time in the 1st period before the Adrenaline burst through late to lead by 3 goals at the end of the period.  They would add another before the Alumni got on the scoreboard through Mitch Villani, with crowd really cheering on the Alumni.  The Adrenaline powered away in the to the tune of 9-1, with a highlight being a hat trick by Nathaniel Benson.  The O’Handley boys Daniel and Morris made it easy for the referees to find them for penalties, with both going to the box during the game.  It was a good fun game for all the players with plenty of smiles all round and some sledging from the benches.
