More Adelaide Winter League Club Ice Hockey action from 11/08/2024.   The second B grade game covered saw the in form Blackhawks having a stellar season playing the Jokers.  One of my Adelaide Summer League Unicorns team mates, Angus Schuppan was in goals for the Jokers having been drafted there at the end of the 2023-2024 ASL season.

The Blackhawks took until the 12mins mark to score the first goal when Michael Harris found a loose puck in front that had spilled free (assist Craig Brunato).  The Blackhawks were dominating and at 6:49 Joshua Weber scored their second goal (assists Nathaniel Baird and Michael Harris).   The Blackhawks would go up 3-0 with a bit over 1min to play in the period as Harris would score his second for the game, again pouncing on a loose puck (assist Brodie Julian).

The second period started promising for the Jokers as Ali Bayani scored unassisted only 13secs in.  However, the Blackhawks snuffed out the comeback a bit over a minute later as Mitch Payne scored unassisted.  The third was again dominated by the Blackhawks, showing why they were sitting in top of the ladder.  A powerplay goal was scored by Nathaniel Baird 2osecs in (assist Joshua Weber and James Gunton).  The offender for the Jokers was Con Condous for unsportsmanlike conduct late in the second period.  Craig Brunato scored unassisted at 17:13, and James Gunton, again on a powerplay at 11:44 (assists Joshua Weber and Michael Harris).  The offender for the Jokers was Luke Burford for body checking at 11:57.  The score remained at 7-1 for the rest of the period.  Shots on goal saw the Blackhawks dominate with 36 shots to the Jokers 10 shots.
