Some photos from the Unicorns vs Snipers Adelaide Summer League Division 1 and Division 2 ice hockey games played on 23/11/2025. The photos are primarily of the Unicorns, which I’m a part of, and this game returning from injury.

First up is the Division 2 game, with game photos taken by Karen Kutsche. Unfortunately, camera still had settings used from the Shannons Adelaide Rally taken earlier in the day. The Unicorns team would be without the experienced centre Hayden Crafter and coach Chris Rondeau. The Unicorns struggled to get a real rhythm going and found themselves 4 goals behind the Snipers a few seconds into the 3rd period, before kicking into gear in the last period to score 2 goals. Goal scorers for the Snipers were Eliza Palmer, Nicole Preece, Christian Wangel and Jamie Gray. Goal scorers from the Unicorns were Joel O’Brien and Matthew Harms. Shots on goal showed the Snipers dominance, 29 shots to 14.
Game two was between the Division 1 Unicorns and Snipers. Unicorns saw the welcome return of captain Josh Sage, but had to start the game with 3 defence players only. The Snipers would start off the scoring with Jeff Whitter scoring 5mins into the game. The Unicorns would respond with 3 goals, to Ash Wibrow, James Yeend and Jordan Kutsche, to hold a handy 2-goal lead by the end of the first period. The Unicorns would extend their lead to 3 through Josh Sage, before the Snipers would strike back with young Elliot Buley, receiving an assist from dad, Scott and Sonnay Uy. The 3rd period saw the Unicorns in control again as they would add 2 more goals, to Alex Mannix and Greg Foot (2 assists from Callum von Einem). The Snipers would get a late goal to Nathan Hoskins. Final score 6-3 to the Unicorns. Shots on goal were Unicorns 24, Snipers 10.
