Some photos from the 2017 RAA Southern Rally run in the Second Valley Forest and council roads around Balqhidder farm on the Fleurieu Peninsula as Round 1 of the South Australian Rally Championship.  This would be the last time the event would be run in this location after 3 years.  Aaron Bowering/Nathan Lowe, would be declared as provisional winners, finally putting their Subaru in its much deserved spot after so many runners up results. Bowering (Subaru WRX) would finish 55secs ahead of 2nd placed Brown (Mitsubishi Galant VR4), a mere 2secs clear of 3rd placed Calder (Subaru WRX). Gehan (Subaru WRX) was a distant 2mins back with ‘debutante’ Knopka 53secs further back to take a well deserved 5th outright.
