Blackwood Inline Hockey B Grade Semi-finals
Time for finals in the Blackwood Inline Hockey B Grade 2024-2025 summer season.
B Grade 1st Semi-final – Rockstars v Beavers 5-1
The 1st semi-final was between the 1st placed Rockstars and the 4th placed Beavers. The Rockstars had been a dominant team this season heading the table for a long time towards the end of the season. In goals for the Rockstars was Chris Jose and for the Beavers, due to injury to their regular goaltender “Brooksy”, was Michael “Baz” Bassell. The Rockstars opened strongly putting 2 unanswered goals (Seth Anspach, unassisted and Isaac Miller with assists from Andrew Weger and Max Leong) on the board by the end of the first break, with Beavers Jules Shelley receiving a tripping minor with 19secs remaining. Shots on goal for the period saw Rockstars 10 to Beavers 2.
Second period saw Anspach had his second goal early in the period (assist Leong). The Rockstars made a meal of it on a change off the bench and were done for too many players on the rink at 4:32, with Shanon Prum sitting out the penalty. At the 2min mark Beavers Bradley Jacob would head to the penalty box for a rather obvious tripping. Shots on goal for the 2nd period had the Beavers pip the Rockstars 7-6.
Third period saw no change to the 3-0 scoreline. Beavers Jacob would once again head to the penalty box for another tripping minor. It was four shots a piece at goal. Fourth quarter and Rockstars Max Leong would get on the scoresheet at 6:47 after assists from Isaac Miller and Anspach to take a commanding 4-0 lead. The Beavers would strike back 2mins later with Jules Shelley scoring with an assist for Patrick Pedder. With players from each team colliding into the Baz the Beavers goaltender, the puck spilled loose and there was no whistle from the refs and Isaac Miller would pounce and put the puck in top shelf for the Rockstars 5th goal. Shots on goal for the period was Rockstars 8 to Beavers 6.

B Grade 2nd Semi-final – Tree Roots v Hornets 1-6
The 2nd Semi-final was between 2nd placed Tree Roots and 3rd placed Hornets. In goals for the game was Alex Palmer for Tree Roots and Michelle Pasman for the Hornets. In the 1st period the Hornets would open the scoring through Adam Weber (assist Mark Peacock) and then Matt Ball would add the 2nd goal (assist Tim Wilson). The Tree Roots would peg one back with Nick Siebert scoring off a Mark Sunczyk assist. Shots on goal for the period were Hornets 8 to the Tree Roots 5. 
The 2nd period had Tree Roots Neil Collier head to the penalty box at 7:38 for tripping giving the Hornets the player advantage but they were unable to score. The Hornets did however a short time later with Balls scoring his 2nd goal off a Mark Peacock assist. The 3rd period had one goal added to the scoresheet in favour of the Hornets as Angus Johns scored unassisted.
Matt Ball would score his hat trick goal, unassisted, at the 8:34 mark of the 4th quarter. Angus Johns would score the Hornets 6th goal later with the assist coming from Weber. Shots on goal for the game saw the Hornets fire 25 to the Tree Roots 15 shots.
