Selected photos from recent Adelaide Summer League Division1 or DivisionA game played on 14/12/2025 at the Ice Arena, Adelaide between Titans and Unicorns. Both teams were towards the top end of the Division1 ladder going into the game. Unicorns Division1 goaltender was Alex Palmer, and for the Titans, Danielle Calvaresi. The Unicorns struggled to contain the Titans in the 1st period as the Titans put on 3 goals to none through Nick Fenton, Daniel Fryer and Michael Kowald. No penalties were called in the 1st period. Fourteen minutes on the clock and Unicorns Greg Foot got the goose egg off the board. At 7:18, Riley Cullen would restore the 3 goal margin, and a minute later the Titans would stamp their authority on the game as Christopher Calvert would post their 5th goal. The start of the 3rd period wasn’t pretty for the Unicorns as they didn’t have too many answers for the ruthless Titans as Riley Cullen scored his 2nd goal for the game merely seconds into the period, and then a few seconds later Shane Collett would put the Titans up by 6. As has been the case a few times this season, when I leave photography duties to get changed for my own Division2 game, the Unicorns score goals! Alex Mannix would score the Unicorns 2nd goal of the game at 16:13, and then Jordan Kutsche would score a sweet goal off the crossbar (or so I have been told!) at 15:36. The Unicorns would the keep on rolling as Bonnie Mechan would get a fluke goal at 90 degrees to the goal, except it wasn’t a fluke if you know Bonnie’s trademark goal scoring from this spot! Titans Michael Kowald would get one back with 4:38, to warm up before he would play in the Division2 game shortly afterwards. Shots on goal for the game: Titans 35 shots to Unicorns 20 shots.

Division1 – Titans v Unicorns 8-4
Selected photos from recent Adelaide Summer League Division2 or DivisionB game played on 14/12/2025 at the Ice Arena, Adelaide between Titans and Unicorns. The Titans were firmly entrenched at the top of the ladder with the Unicorns in 4th place. The Unicorns had been playing some new players, recently promoted from Division3. The Unicorns would need to dig deep to overcome this strong team. In goals for the Unicorns was Nicholas Merifield and for the Titans, Greg Eden. The games was very tight as Unicorns managed the onslaught, notably Nicholas Merifield making some miraculous saves in goals. A minute was left in the period before either team scored. It would be William Noble to put the Titans up early. In the 2nd period, the Unicorns put up some good defence against the Titans, stepping up where it counted. At 12:35, Noble would score his 2nd goal for the game. The score would remain at 2-0, despite the Unicorns having penalty troubles in the 2nd period, but the penalty kill units did their job. The Unicorns had put in an excellent effort to contain the Titans to only 2 goals. Shots on goal indicated the sterling effort of Merifield for the Unicorns as the Titans posted 35 shots to Unicorns 12 shots.
