In a thrilling Grand Final Playoffs matchup between the Central Commodores and the Rolling Rockers in the SAILHC Leagues Elite League 2026, fans were treated to an intense inline hockey showdown on March 14, 2026, at the Blackwood Recreation Centre in Blackwood.
The Rolling Rockers came out strong in the 1st half, with Josh Holland scoring the opening goal assisted by Kane Hodge. Jordan Geyer of the Commodores quickly responded to even the score, but the Rolling Rockers went on a scoring spree with goals from Cameron Pope (twice), Tyson Pope, and Darren Corstens. Geyer managed to notch another goal for the Commodores, but the Rockers maintained the lead going into halftime at 5-3.
The 2nd half saw the Rolling Rockers extend their lead with goals from Steve Best, Cameron Pope (twice), and Tyson Boyd. Despite efforts from Geyer and Kingsley Hughes of the Commodores, the Rockers secured a convincing 11-5 victory.
In terms of shots on goal, the Rolling Rockers outshot the Central Commodores 36 to 29. Goalies Angus Schuppan of the Rolling Rockers and Ethan Acres of the Commodores put on solid performances, with Schuppan making 24 saves and Acres making 25 saves.
The victory for the Rolling Rockers in the Grand Final Playoffs further solidifies their dominance over the Central Commodores, having won both regular-season matchups prior to this game.
