Selected photos from the 2023 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia series and support categories that raced at The Bend Motorsport Park, South Australia on the weekend of 10-11 June, 2023.
The Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia series for Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo cars restarted in 2023 after an absence of 3 years. The first round was at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia in May. The championship then came to The Bend, and in then travels to Japan to the traditional setting of the Fuji Speedway. The 4th round, held from August 18-20, will be held in South Korea. The penultimate round will be in Shanghai, China, at the start of September. The Asia series also travels outside of Australasia to Italy, at Vallelunga, in November.
There is also a separate Super Trofeo series in Europe, as well as a Super Trofeo America series. This longest established European Lamborghini championship takes place on the famous circuits of Europe in tandem with 5 of the races in the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS. The Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe is one of the most competitive one-make championships in the world.
The International (or West) Circuit was used, which comprises 18 bends around a 4.95km layout. The support categories at The Bend included BMW E30/Holden Open, Prototypes, Open Wheelers and Hyundai Excel classes. A Porsche was also included the BMW E30/Holden Open class.
