The Australian Super Trucks Championship moved to Round 2 at The Bend (Shell V-Power Motorsport Park) just south of Tailem Bend, South Australia.  It was the first time the trucks raced at this complex, and they would be using the short Western Circuit at the complex.  The first round was at Mallala Motorsport Park, north of Adelaide in South Australia.  Some of the support categories would use the longer International Circuit version of the Western Circuit.  Support categories were: Victorian V8s, Victorian Super TT (tin tops)/Circuit Excels, Australian Superkarts (nearly 30 entries) and HQ Holdens.

On the Saturday of the event (that this story is covering) the day would conclude with Truck Drags on the Bend Dragway and competitors would include road going trucks as well as the Super Trucks.

The Ox Racing Mack was exceptional with at least 2 runs in the low 14secs .

Overall points in the Australian Super Trucks championship after Round 2 see Dale Cornfoot on 135 points, Mark Noonan on 109 and Steven Zammit (SRZ Racing) on 87 points with the Anzac liveried Mack truck of Tye Oxley (Ox Racing) on 73 points and Harvey Dale (Thorpe) on 69 points.
